Grand Carmes Rose

These rosé wines are nervous with a strong colour and are well known for their body, their freshness and the delicacy of their aromas.

Vineyard
Mainly on north-facing slopes, limestone scree soil.
Average Age
More than 30 years.
Varieties
Grenache 45%, mourvèdre 30%, cinsault 5%, merlot 20%.
Harvest
Hand harvested, when the grapes are fully mature. Grapes sorted at the vine and in the cellar.
Vinification
Light crushing, partial destemming, pressing with a vertical hydraulic press.
Storage, Maturing
Wood storage only, in small oak casks. Maintained on fine lees. Natural decanting by racking.
